About Us

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the DCS Cyber & Information Security Office (CISO) working closely with DCS agencies to uplift and improve cyber security ensuring DCS digital services are safe and secure.
About the role
The Security Programs team are tasked with leading the delivery of the DCS Cyber Security Strategy to reduce the likelihood and consequences of a cyber attack on the department by fortifying defences, safeguarding sensitive data, and protecting government services that are delivered by government divisions and agencies within DCS.
We are looking to recruit a Security Project Coordinator to join the Security Programs Team. This role will support multiple project teams by providing coordination support to Security Project Managers and Leads in the delivery of cyber security strategic uplift initiatives and projects including project communications, engagement and change activities contributing to the delivery of the DCS Cyber Security Strategy.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Security Project Managers and Leads with the delivery of security projects, coordination of resources, documentation and meeting of reporting requirements to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and approved project management methodology.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, risks and contingency management, expenditure, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness and achieve project outcomes.
- Coordinate internal and external customer or vendor engagement including workshops to gain a clear understanding of priorities and challenges.Apply analytical insights and strategic thinking to optimise project performance, communications and engagement.
- Conduct research and develop recommendations to inform evidence-based approaches to project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
About you
- Experience in cyber security, information or communication technical project delivery.
- Experience in consulting and negotiating with diverse stakeholders with varying expectations, viewpoints and interests.
- Proven experience in DCS Altus or similar project management tools.
- Proven ability to develop, monitor and adjust budgets including proficiency in forecasting revenue and expenses.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams and across multiple projects.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- A 'can do' attitude.
