Our Integrated Booking Unit (IBU) at Gosford Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an Administration Officer (Level 4) to showcase your talents and contribute to essential services for the Central Coast community. About The Opportunity
As an
Administration Officer in the Integrated Booking Unit
, you will play a key role in managing the elective surgery waiting list and ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient coordination of patient bookings and theatre lists.
You'll be an important link between patients, clinicians, and hospital departments, providing exceptional administrative support that helps deliver timely, safe, and patient-centred care.
In This Role You Will
- Accurately enter and maintain patient data and theatre lists in accordance with the NSW Ministry of Health Waiting Time and Elective Surgery Policy.
- Coordinate all aspects of elective surgery bookings, including documentation of patient contact, pre-admission, cancellations, and deferrals.
- Liaise effectively with patients, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, empathetic, and informed communication.
- Prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy, problem-solving proactively, and advocating for patients throughout their surgical journey.
