YOUR ROLE
The Learning Partner, Inclusion will respond to consultation requests (referrals) and support schools to identify student learning needs and recommend targeted supports and adjustments to improve participation and engagement in learning and the school community.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Build the capability of school leaders to utilise MACS and VCEA policies and guidelines to accurately identify, assess and monitor students who may require adjustments
- Provide expert advice to school leaders to inform school improvement plans and initiatives, inform and improve the educational outcomes for students requiring an adjustment, inform targeted assessment and teaching, document personalised learning plans (PLPs), and support effective consultation and communication with families and stakeholders
- Build the capability of school leaders to administer assessment tools, analyse and interpret data sources to inform and improve the educational outcomes of all students to support inclusive learning
- Develop and deliver professional learning that outlines the key principles of inclusive teaching practices to accurately identify, support and monitor students who may require adjustments (academically, behaviourally, health and wellbeing needs)
- Support schools to implement the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) Model with fidelity, moderate and quality assure NCCD evidence
ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrated understanding of state and national policies and curriculum in relation to inclusive teaching practices including, multi-tiered system of supports, NCCD, Response to Intervention, universal design for learning to support the health, wellbeing, academic and/or behavioural needs of students
- Demonstrated successful experience in the development of contemporary, evidence-based teaching and learning approaches including a broad range of assessments to inform adjustments for students with diverse learning needs
- Demonstrated ability to produce, organise and deliver Professional Learning programs using a variety of modes to engage such as asynchronous learning, webinars and online modules
- Demonstrated ability to build the capability of teachers and leaders within schools in relation to inclusive teaching practices and curriculum provision for students requiring targeted support and adjustments (cognitive, behaviour, sensory, health, physical, social/emotional)
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders
Salary range for this position is $79,589 (T2/1) - $118,063 (T2/6) per annum Choose an item. of superannuation as specified in the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 and may include additional allowances dependent on qualifications and experience. This role is eligible for school holidays.
