The Opportunity

At Melton City Council, we are dedicated to creating a vibrant and liveable city for everyone. As part of the Technology team, we're seeking a highly skilled Integration Lead to lead the design, integration, testing, and commissioning of interfaces for council, from first concept to operational handover. You'll be the go-to discipline lead, owning the technical interfaces between the program systems, and external platforms, ensuring everything works seamlessly and meets regulatory, network, and market requirements.

Reporting to the TCP Principal Architect, you will be pivotal in scoping and documenting technical requirements, designing integration solutions, and supporting legacy data migration for the program. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet complex business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in program planning and contribute to the design and development of integration solutions using TechnologyOne integration tools such as T1 Connect, RESTful APIs, Data Exchange, Ci Anywhere.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops to assess, analyse, design, and plan enhancements to the current and future integration environment, including identifying and mitigating risks to system integrity associated with proposed changes.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, project teams, technical experts, solution architects and stakeholders to gather integration requirements and translate them into effective, scalable solutions, ensuring solutions are implemented effectively and align with the organisation's strategic goals
  • Lead and facilitate discussions and decisions on the implementation of innovative solutions and best practices contributing to decision-making processes and representing the perspective of the integration work group.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Systems Engineering or related field with relevant experience
  • Experience in designing and implementing integration platforms using Azure Integration Services (iPaaS), including Azure API Management (APIM), Logic Apps, Service Bus, Service Queue, and Azure Storage, to connect internal and external systems.
  • Skilled in API design, configuration, and management using Azure APIM, adhering to RESTful API standards (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI), versioning, security, and performance optimization.
  • Proficient in Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines including version control and DevOps pipeline tools e.g. Azure DevOps.
