Southern Golf Club, situated in the heart of the Sandbelt in Melbourne's Southeast, is seeking Food & Beverage staff to service the clubs' Members Bar & Dining Room service areas.

Thriving in a fast-paced team environment, the role is a bar & floor based position which you will be required to actively participate in all related event services including pre and post event functions.

Your Main Duties and Responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:

  • Maintaining floor cleanliness including table clearing, glass and plate collection;

  • Operating point-of-sale systems and handling transactions

  • Providing friendly and professional customer service

  • Assisting with stock control and restocking supplies

  • Food and beverage service - 3 plate carry;
  • Room set up for events including table & chair movement, crockery and cutlery set up;
  • Function & Members Bar work
  • Preparing espresso coffees

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Availability to work weekdays, weekends and evenings including some public holidays;
  • A good level of physical fitness as this role can be physically demanding;
  • An energetic and enthusiastic approach to your work;
  • A willingness to learn, grow and go all out to create memorable experiences for our guests.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem solve;
  • High standard of personal grooming;
  • Fantastic communication skills;
  • Must have a current RSA Certificate;
  • Must be able to 3-plate-carry;
  • The ability to work alone, and as part of a team;
  • Previous experience in function and events would be advantageous
  • You will have full, unrestricted rights to work in Australia

The club operates 7 days a week including Public Holidays and is host to a number of corporate and private functions.

This is a casual position in an excellent working environment. Free parking, uniform & staff meals provided.
