Casual Accountant

Are you an experienced Accountant or Bookkeeper looking for a role with flexibility, variety, and a supportive team? McIlwain is on the lookout for a finance professional to join our Corporate Services Team as we roll out an exciting new ERP system.

This casual position offers 20–30 hours per week with the freedom to work within our office hours (7am–5pm, Monday–Friday). It's the perfect fit for someone who values work-life balance while making a meaningful contribution to a well-established business.

Our Head Office is in Hemmant, which is a convenient short drive to the M1 and an even shorter walk to the Hemmant Train Station.

Duties:

• Maintain accurate financial records and process transactions
• Prepare financial statements and assist with payroll, BAS, GST, PAYG, superannuation and other statutory reporting
• Assist the Financial Accounting team with end-of-month (EOM) tasks
• Support the Financial Accounting team with the set-up and integration of the new ERP system
• Assist with general administration

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting or bookkeeping
• Strong payroll, FBT, GST, and reconciliation knowledge
• ERP/systems experience highly regarded
• Degree in Accounting (preferred)
