Full-Time Opportunity | Continue Your Apprenticeship | Certificate III in Flooring Technology

GetCareers is currently recruiting for 2nd Year Apprentices who are eager to continue their Floorcovering Apprenticeship with an established and reputable local business based in Welshpool.

This is a full-time opportunity to earn while you learn and gain a nationally recognised qualification – Certificate III in Flooring Technology.

About the Role

As a Floorcovering Apprentice, duties may include:

• Assisting with measuring, cutting, and preparing flooring materials such as carpet, vinyl, laminate, and timber.
• Preparing and leveling subfloors by cleaning, smoothing, or applying adhesives and underlays.
• Laying and securing floor coverings according to specifications and safety standards.
• Operating hand tools and power tools safely under supervision.
• Assisting with the removal of old or damaged floor coverings.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area, including handling materials and equipment properly.

What We're Looking For

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in Floorcovering (apprenticeship or industry experience)
• Be physically fit and able to handle hands-on work
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic
• Reliable, punctual, and motivated to learn a trade
• Able to work well in a team and follow instructions
• Manual Driver's Licence preferred, but not required
• Committed to completing the apprenticeship while working full time

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Must reside in the Perth Metropolitan Area due to job location
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

• School results (last completed year)
• Copies of any relevant certificates and tickets (e.g. Pre-App)
• A copy of your valid driver's licence (manual is preferred but not essential)
• TAFE results and apprenticeship documents are required, including downloading USI Transcript and Apprenticeship Extract through the WAAMS Portal (Apprenticeships Office).
