Our client we are currently supporting is a market leader in the development, operation and asset management of grid connected / utility scale renewable energy projects, particularly focused within the battery energy storage (BESS) sector.

Due to growth within their project management/engineering team they are now looking for a highly experienced
Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager
to join the organisation here in Australia.

Job Description

As a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager within this organisation you will be responsible for leading the engineering/technical aspects of renewable energy (BESS) projects across Australia. This position would ideally suit an experienced and self-driven individual with strong stakeholder engagement/management skills & a proven background in renewable energy project engineering and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans, timelines and budgets for renewable energy projects
  • Develop concept designs, SLDs, cable schedules and early stage project engineering requirements
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, scopes of work and design packages
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Communicate with clients, contractors and other stakeholders
  • Provide technical expertise in electrical engineering and renewable energy systems
  • Ensure compliance with Australian regulatory and safety requirements
  • Oversee site studies, early works, and feasibility assessments
  • Liaise with clients, contractors and other stakeholders across projects

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Renewable Energy or Power Systems Engineering
  • 3-5 years experience in project engineering/project management of HV/Renewable Energy projects in Australia
  • Experience in both development and delivery phases of energy projects in Australia
  • Great written and verbal communication + strong problem-solving skills
