Tails on Trails in North Brisbane is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Casual Dog Walker / Pet Sitter to help us care for our growing community of pets and their families.

About Us

We provide trusted dog walking, pet drop-ins, overnight stays, and light cleaning. Our focus is on building safe, loving, and reliable relationships with pets and their owners, making sure every tail we meet is wagging happily.

The Role

  • Casual position: 5–10 hours per week (mainly Tuesdays)
  • Flexibility to fit around your lifestyle, with the chance to add more hours over time
  • Walk dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities
  • Provide care visits: feeding, companionship, and enrichment
  • Overnight pet sitting when needed
  • Light cleaning and tidying related to pet care

What We're Looking For

  • Outgoing, bubbly, and enthusiastic personality
  • Huge love of animals (non-negotiable)
  • Fit and energetic – we do lots of walking
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable and organised, with excellent communication
  • Comfortable working independently

Requirements

  • Own car and valid licence (above L plates)
  • Previous experience with animals (references required)
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and public holidays
  • Willing to obtain a police check

Pay & Conditions

  • Paid under the Miscellaneous Award
  • Casual hourly rate between $26–$32/hr depending on age
  • Higher rates apply on weekends and public holidays
