Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Building Response Australia Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Building Response Australia is seeking a skilled and motivated Assessor to join our expanding team. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to our continued success and growth while enjoying career progression in a supportive environment.

We are a Brisbane-based, locally owned company with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. We value our staff and strive to create a workplace where people feel motivated, valued, and passionate about what they do.

Due to ongoing growth, we are looking to bring two new Assessors on board to support our expanding portfolio.

Role: Assessor

As an Assessor, you will play a key role in inspecting works, estimating costs, and assessing building projects. While experience in insurance building is not required, a strong trade background and current QBCC licence are essential. We will provide full training on our processes and systems.

You will work across a range of projects, liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure assessments are accurate, professional, and delivered on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections to assess the scope of works required.
  • Prepare accurate, detailed, and well-structured reports and estimates.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, trades, and suppliers.
  • Ensure work meets quality standards and complies with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Manage your schedule to meet deadlines and client requirements.
  • Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

About You:

We are seeking a well-organised, professional, and self-motivated person with a strong trade background who is eager to learn and grow within the role.

You'll need:

  • Relevant trade qualification (Carpentry preferred).
  • Current QBCC Supervisor Licence.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Sound knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC).

Insurance building experience is not required — we will provide training.

Benefits of Working with Us:

  • Career Progression – Opportunities to grow within a thriving company.
  • Competitive Salary – Based on experience.
  • Company Uniform – Provided.
  • Work-Life Balance – Supportive team culture.
  • Strong Reputation – Be part of a respected building company with a commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

We understand the building industry because we come from it — our owners are tradesmen who value hard work, skill, and dedication. Join us and be part of a team that appreciates your expertise and supports your professional growth.
