The Opportunity:

Newcastle Anglican has a rare opportunity for a Retail Supervisor across our Samaritans shops. You will be responsible for supervising staff (both paid and unpaid) and the performance of the shops.

This is a permanent Full Time vacancy.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and mentoring of volunteer team members, including allocation of daily tasks.
  • Administration duties will include a range of activities from rostering to data entry and completing financial calculations all of which may be completed on a computer.
  • Domestic duties within the shop may include, vacuuming, wiping down benches, moping, scrubbing and cleaning toilets along with other general domestic duties.
  • Assist with the sorting and distribution of donated goods.

  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience or commitment to the proactive provision of superior customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to support, guide or train existing and new team members
