Skilled Labourer / Leading Hand

Prowall Construction – Melbourne

Join one of Victoria's fastest-growing construction companies, specialising in retaining walls, earthworks, and external works packages for some of Australia's biggest builders.

We're looking for a motivated Skilled Labourer / Leading Hand to join our team and play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality projects across commercial, civil, and residential sites. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a leadership position while working with a supportive, driven, and professional crew.


What You'll Be Doing
  • Assisting site supervisors with day-to-day construction activities.
  • Hands-on labouring including bored pier drilling, steel erecting, sleeper installation, drainage, and site prep (excavation).
  • Leading small teams and ensuring everyone follows Saftey Policy, SWMS and QA (Quality Checks).
  • Operating power tools, hand tools, and (if licensed) plant & equipment varying from 1.7T - 35T.
  • Supporting project delivery by keeping worksites tidy, compliant, and on-program.
  • Maintaining Prowall's high standards for safety, quality, and client satisfaction - we are customer centric.

What We're Looking For
  • Previous construction experience – retaining walls, earthworks, or structural works is a must have, do not apply if you do not have experience in this.
  • Ability to read and follow plans, drawings, and site instructions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a "lead by example" attitude.
  • White Card (essential).
  • Driver's licence and reliable transport and basic tools (essential).
  • Advantageous: plant tickets (excavator, skid steer, forklift, etc.) or experience leading small teams.
