About the Business Unit:
Hopkins Correctional Centre has two casual positions available, both positions will have the opportunity to work across multiple departments within the prison including Business Support, Finance, Stores, Uniforms and Reception & Discharge.
Both positions are based at Hopkins Correctional Centre in Ararat in regional Victoria. Hopkins Correctional Centre is a medium security prison located in Western Victoria housing up to 798 people. The prison takes a multi-disciplinary approach that promotes active participation in activities structured to assist with rehabilitation and reintegration back to community at end of sentence.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Justice Officer Team Leader, the Justice Officer - Business Support role provides accurate and timely administrative and support services to Hopkins Correctional Centre and staff.
Some of your duties will include:
- Providing administrative support and client services relevant to the location
- Providing nformation and assistance to clients, internal and external stakeholders and the public including the collation, review, and processing of applications
- Providing reception and telephone responses for the location.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Experience in a range of corporate business administration related tasks, including reception, minute taking, and date entry (highly-regarded)
- The ability to cooperate and work well with others in pursuit of team goals while sharing information and acknowledging others' efforts, being willing to step in to help others where required
- An understanding of how your own work is part of a system that connects to and interacts with other processes, people and structures.
