The Birdhouse in Minchinbury is seeking a CDP to join our team and be a part of our mission to deliver exceptional dining experiences. We are expanding our operating hours due to demand, and are looking at expanding our team.

Responsibilities:

As a Sous Chef at The Birdhouse, you will:

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and execute new menu items.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Relevant experience in Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Al a carte settings.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior CDP or Sous Chef in a high-quality restaurant.
  • A passion for culinary excellence and creativity.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications will be an advantage.
