About the role

Hunter Bros Earthmovers is seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in Ardrossan, South Australia. As a full-time Excavator Operator. This position offers the opportunity to work with up to date equipment and contribute to the growth and development of our esteemed company.

What you'll be doing

  1. Safely and efficiently operate excavators to complete a variety of tasks, including site preparation, trenching and bulk earthworks .
  2. Conduct pre-operational inspections and ensure the proper maintenance of assigned equipment
  3. Collaborate with the wider construction team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standard
  4. Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe and compliant work environment
  5. Provide feedback and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and productivity

What we're looking for

  1. Extensive experience (3+ years) as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry
  2. Demonstrated proficiency in the operation of various excavator models and attachments
  3. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle complex situations on site
  4. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues
  5. Commitment to maintaining a safe and responsible work ethic
  6. Relevant construction industry qualifications and licences, including a valid driver's licence
