This government department is seeking an AO3 Administered Revenue Officer to join their team on a contract basis. The role is based in Brisbane, with the start date dependent on the outcome of an informal interview, a clear criminal history check, and system access setup.

Your new role

  • Maintain accurate client records and reconcile financial data
  • Apply general ledger accounting knowledge across multiple systems
  • Navigate various financial and client software platforms
  • Process high volumes of work with precision and attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  • Use Microsoft Excel to maintain and develop spreadsheets using basic formulas and functions
  • Work confidently with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Collaborate within a team or work independently to meet deadlines
  • Utilise SAP systems (experience desirable but not essential)

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience processing large volumes of work with accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable experience
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and functions), Word, and Outlook
  • Confidence navigating various software systems and dashboards
  • SAP experience is desirable
