Macquarie OMS is a well established specialist practice in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, located the CBD of Sydney.

There are two specialists surgeons, each on a 4 week rotating roster, and one Oral Medicine specialist. One of our receptionists is taking a year off to spend with her child, and we are seeking someone for a 14 month contract to fill in whilst she is away. This role involves assisting with reception with occasional surgical assisting duties on a full or part time basis. Flexible work options are possible. 

Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Scheduling patient consultations
  • Managing digital and paper patient communication
  • Liaising with referring practices and hospitals
  • Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
  • Patient invoicing and receipting
  • Assisting surgical procedures from time to time. Training can be provided.

To be successful for this position you will:

  • Have previous experience working for a surgeon or dentist or medical professional
  • Be self-motivated and able to work within a team as well as autonomously.
  • Have high quality computer skills and have worked with practice management software (Genie or Gentu would be ideal)
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ideal candidate will have both English and Mandarin language skills
