We're looking for a caring and enthusiastic Group Activity Assistant to help deliver engaging and meaningful social activities for our clients. This role supports older people and community members to build connections, stay active, and enjoy a better quality of life.

About the Role

As a valued member of our Community Care Team, you'll assist in developing, organising and facilitating a variety of group activities designed to enhance the physical, social, and emotional wellbeing of participants.

Your day may include:

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of social group activities and outings
  • Assisting clients to participate safely and comfortably
  • Completing client intakes, assessments and relevant documentation
  • Promoting our services to support program growth
  • Ensuring safe food handling and risk assessments are completed
  • Helping to make each client feel valued, supported and connected

What You'll Bring

  • Availability to work between the hours of 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday (Flexibility is requirement for the role)
  • Experience in organising events or group activities
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and work as part of a team
  • Strong communication and basic computer skills
  • A current QLD Driver's Licence
  • (Desirable) Certificate in Community Care or similar
  • (Desirable) Knowledge of risk assessments and safe food handling
