A newly created position has arisen at Sequana for a friendly and proactive Communications Coordinator to provide essential support to Sequana's internal communications efforts and support our project work with clients across water, environment, and energy. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills who enjoys a varied role that combines communication tasks with general administrative responsibilities.
As part of a growing team, you will assist in the preparation and distribution of internal communications materials, coordinate events and meetings, and support our senior communications and engagement professionals in their work with clients.

What you do
- Liaise with different departments to gather internal news, project updates and announcements.
- Prepare and share internal communications, including coordinating approvals.
- Organise meetings and take minutes.
- Assist with data entry, record keeping, and preparing reports on communications performance.
- Help maintain and update internal platforms and ensure internal communication channels are clear and up-to-date.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Use basic design tools (e.g., Canva) to create simple, on-brand visuals for internal communications.
- Assist in the preparation, formatting, and proofreading of documents.
- Help organise and coordinate events, including logistics, catering, and communications.
- Support the coordination of media monitoring and sharing relevant news internally.
- Involvement in relevant client work with support and assistance from senior members of the communications and engagement team.
- Draft high-quality communication materials for Sequana projects such as FAQs, newsletters, fact sheets, web content, and presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
- Display Sequana's values and behaviours every day with a positive attitude and demeanour.
Who you are
Candidates should possess:
- Relevant qualification in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations and/or equivalent work experience in a similar role.
- 3 years' minimum experience in a Communications or Marketing role
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a knack for storytelling and engaging with internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrated skills as a highly competent writer across a broad range of communications channels.
- Experience in using graphic design tools like Canva and communications platforms like MailChimp is desired.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of internal engagement activities and communication.
- A high degree of professionalism, continuously building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with communication tools and platforms.
- Strong administration skills with an understanding of general office management and operational outputs
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to timeframes.
- A positive approach and a team player attitude.
