Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group's relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. Our purpose is to: Combine global connectivity and capability to build a better Australia. IB&M also performs an important internal role for the Group by providing global markets, trade finance, corporate and institutional lending to other CBA business units that allows them to capture opportunities with business and retail customers.

Capital Structuring consists of customer centric product specialists who partner with our coverage colleagues to originate, structure, execute and monitor financing facilities. We provide the core end-to-end product and pricing infrastructure supported by a disciplined approach to governance that enables us to manage financial and non-financial portfolio risks.

Securitisation Capital Structuring (SCS) is a business unit within Capital Structuring that provides:

• Warehouse funding of securitisable assets that are subsequently refinanced into capital markets; and
• Arranger / Lead Manager structuring capabilities, and provision of relevant support facilities, to create securitisation capital markets transactions that are distributed to global fixed income institutional investors.

Do work that matters:

SCS supports a broad range of the Bank's institutional clients to efficiently fund Australian and New Zealand financial assets, and engages with a global institutional investor base via our Global Markets distribution platform.

As an Associate in the team, you'll play an important role in benefiting SCS and our clients by developing and using skills that supporting securitisation modelling, quantitative analysis and structuring analysis across securitisation warehouse facilities and securitisation capital markets issuance. This role will report into Associate Director, SCS

Key tasks will include but not be limited to:

• Assisting with asset analysis modelling capabilities across a range of asset classes for warehouse facilities and capital market transactions including credit support, stress testing and weighted average life calculations and preparation of monthly and quarterly portfolio management reports.
• Working closely with senior modelling resources and internal system stakeholders to ensure model development, reporting requirements and management supports new client needs.
• Maintaining and uplifting databases on market transactions and using these to provide appropriate market analysis where required.
• Proactively seek out opportunities to leverage data and information to provide more efficient business outcomes and enhanced transaction execution capability and insights.
• Liaising with other teams within IB&M such as Risk, business stakeholders and external parties, such as ratings agencies, Bloomberg and Intex to support transaction structuring.
• Work in conjunction with senior SCS staff to assist with the execution of securitisation transactions, including warehouse and term deals for our current and prospective clients.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• Confidence with Excel is important, and we are happy to support growth in this area.
• Familiarity with VBA or Python may be highly regarded, but is not required, we welcome applicants who are keen to learn and build technical skills on the job.
• High attention to detail is critical.
• Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders in all forms of communication.
• An interest in financial markets products and solutions.

• The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills, as well as sound communication, presentation and verbal reasoning skills.

• High energy, motivated individual, able to operate at pace and without guidance when appropriate.
