ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of 7-8 sales representatives to deliver in-store excellence in line with agreed standards, while supporting business units in driving sales growth and upholding brand integrity. This position works closely with the State Sales Manager to plan and execute strategies aligned with key objectives and regional projects. Core responsibilities include overseeing daily store coverage, coordinating new store set ups, managing category refits, facilitating display installations and ensuring planogram compliance.

You will be responsible for managing the team based in the North/West suburbs of Melbourne and regional Victoria including Geelong, Warrnambool, Portland, Shepparton and Wodonga.

Key Responsibilities:

Field team management and leadership.


• Lead and coach the field team to ensure high performance.


• Manage territories, call cycles and ensure team objectives are met.


• Foster a strong team culture, focusing on results and individual performance.


• Oversee training and performance management processes.


• Facilitate regular team meetings and communication

Customer and retail relationships


• Build and maintain relationships with key customers, particularly Bunnings complex   managers.


• Implement client plans, promotions and training.


• Ensure timely and effective communication, reporting on sales trends, competitor activity and promotional efforts.


• Attend and present at business reviews as needed.

Operations Management


• Manage state costs within budget alongside the State sales manager.


• Optimise team territories and analyse reports to identify opportunities.


• Ensure business KPI'S and strategic goals are met through clear communication and planning.


• Conduct retail excellence assessments and provide ongoing training and support.


• Drive process improvements in collaboration with the state sales manager.

Travel


• Daily travel will be required to meet customer and business unit objectives.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Internally you will also be required to collaborate with various other departments including state training and academy coordinators, warehouse managers, customer service, trade territory managers, national account teams, marketing teams, finance and inventory teams.

Your role will also play a crucial part in fostering strong relationships with external stakeholders including Bunnings complex managers and coordinators, team members and area managers. This dynamic interaction will be key to achieving business success.
