About the Position

We're seeking a
Senior Database Administrator
with strong
Postgres
and
SQL
expertise to join a global infrastructure team.

You'll manage and enhance high-availability databases, collaborate with DBAs across multiple regions, and play a key role in incident management and system optimisation. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll also drive automation, influence technical direction, and contribute to best practices.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support, maintain, and optimise
    Postgres and SQL
    environments.
  • Work closely with global DBA teams on delivery and incident resolution.
  • Take part in on-call rotation.
  • Lead initiatives in automation and process improvements.
  • Step up during
    P1 incidents
    , engaging with senior stakeholders worldwide.

The Experience We Value

  • Strong background as a
    Postgres DBA
    in enterprise settings.
  • Solid
    SQL DBA
    skills (senior level).
  • Exposure to
    AWS services
    in production environments.
  • Experience working in large/global organisations with matrix structures.
  • Excellent communicator who performs well under pressure.
  • Proactive, ideas-driven, with a track record of improving processes and tools.
  • Must hold or be eligible for NV1 Security Clearance (Australian citizens only)
