Casual Medical Receptionist

A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our busy professional team at You Yangs Medical Clinic. We are a well established friendly, accredited, computerised, medical clinic that is seeking a casual medical receptionist who enjoys working in a well supported team environment.

This position requires an experienced and motivated team player, who is committed to patient care and customer service that can also efficiently assist our practitioners and clinical team.

This position is casual with the opportunity for part-time in the future. Applicants to be available between the hours of 8.00am-7.00pm Monday to Friday for various shifts within the rotating roster, with the flexibility to cover sick and annual leave as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

Front desk

• Meet and greet patients and visitors arriving to the clinic
• Arrange appointments for patients, liaising with staff as required
• Answer telephone enquiries, directing appropriately
• Administrative and Clerical Duties
• Maintaining medical computerised records
• Billing of patients following attendance
• Receive, scan and maintain correspondence in patient medical files
• Word processing and document preparation as directed
• Liaise with other staff working at the clinic, verbal, electronic and written

Experience and attributes:

• Previous experience in a general practice or similar
• Knowledge of Zedmed Practice Management software preferable
• Highly developed level of computer proficiency
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
• Willingness to learn and up skill
• Strong work ethic
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
• Capacity to work autonomously
• Attention to detail and accuracy while multitasking
• Flexible and reliable
• Excellent time management skills

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $34.00 – $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
