Casual Medical Receptionist

A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our busy professional team at You Yangs Medical Clinic. We are a well established friendly, accredited, computerised, medical clinic that is seeking a casual medical receptionist who enjoys working in a well supported team environment.

This position requires an experienced and motivated team player who is committed to patient care and customer service that can also efficiently assist our practitioners and clinical team.

This position is casual with the opportunity for part-time in the future. You will need to be available between the hours of 8am-7pm Monday to Friday, for various shifts within the rotating roster, with the need to also be available to cover sick and annual leave.

Key responsibilities include:
Front desk
- Arrange appointments for patients, liaising with staff as required
- Answer telephone enquires, directing appropriately
- Administrative and Clerical Duties
- Maintaining medical computerised records
- Billing of patients following attendance
- Receive, scan and maintain correspondence in patient medical files
- Word processing and document preparation as directed
- Liaise with other staff working at the clinic, verbal, electronic and written

The successful applicant must possess the following attributes:

- Prior Reception/Administration experience is preferred
- Highly developed level of computer proficiency
- Knowledge of Zedmed software preferable
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Willingness to learn and up skill
- Strong work ethic
- Capacity to work autonomously
- Attention to detail and accuracy while multitasking
- Flexible and reliable
- Excellent time management skills

Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Rotating roster
