Due to growth our client, a General Insurance Company, has a need for a new Property Claims Consultant to join their friendly close-knit team. They require a motivated individual with at least 4 years Commercial Property claims management experience.

You will have an excellent record in successful claims handling, client/customer service and be able to talk to people at all levels whether this be claimants, brokers, strata managers and other parties connected with claims management.

You will work in a positive environment where the team works cohesively to ensure everyone's work is up to date.

The Position:

The role will include:

  • Manage your own portfolio of commercial property claims from end to end
  • Maintain high level stakeholder relationships
  • Manage claims through to settlement within set procedures and time frames including lodgment, assessment, recovery and payment requirements
  • Complete regular claim reviews and make payments as necessary
  • Provide high quality service and advice to clients [brokers] and claimants
  • High level communication skills and literacy required

The Person:

You must be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum 4 years Commercial Property claims experience
  • Familiarity with the entire claims process
  • End to end claims management experience valued, but not essential
  • Enthusiasm for claims examination and assessment
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • Sound work ethic with an emphasis on meeting deadlines, completing tasks and following process
  • Professional presentation
  • Deal with internal/external customer queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain claims files and update internal claims system
