Department of Interventional Radiology/Medical Imagin are looking for a Principal House Officers (Interventional Radiology Medical Imaging) to join their team. The purpose of this role is, under the supervision of senior medical staff, to provide high-quality, safe care to patients within medical specialties and subspecialties. This role will include attending to both emergency and elective admissions, review of inpatients, and participation in ward rounds and outpatient clinics. This role also provides supervision, feedback, teaching and support to interns, house officers and medical students.

About the Role

  • Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to patient safety and quality in the delivery of health care by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives.
  • To provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals provide inpatient outpatient care by assessing patients, determining and instigating appropriate investigation
  • Establish management plan for patients in consultation with the consultant
  • Where appropriate, ensure discharge planning commences early in the process of care
  • Communicate assessment findings, proposed management plans and alternatives to patient

    and carers and seek consent
  • Gather input from appropriate multidisciplinary team for patient's ongoing clinical care
  • Continually monitor and review patient progress and adjust the management plan when

    necessary and ensure appropriate and timely communication with other health care providers and carers to ensure ongoing patient care post hospital stay
