Bluefin Resources is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a leading organisation on a key short-term engagement, with strong potential for extension. This role sits within a small, high-performing architecture team responsible for shaping and delivering enterprise-wide technology solutions across a complex and highly integrated environment.

About the RoleAs a Solution Architect, you'll define and deliver end-to-end solution designs across a broad mix of technologies. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee solution architectures across legacy and modern platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, and infrastructure teams to ensure cohesive delivery.
• Contribute to the evolution of the organisation's cloud and integration strategy.
• Work across diverse technologies including AWS, Azure, Kafka, and Snowflake.
• Support both SaaS and in-house custom applications to ensure business needs are met.
• Provide architectural guidance and leadership across multiple concurrent projects.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect within complex enterprise environments.
• Broad, generalist architecture background covering applications, integrations, infrastructure, and data.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, primarily AWS (Azure experience advantageous).
• Exposure to highly integrated ecosystems, ideally involving Kafka or similar event-driven platforms.
• Experience working across on-premise, SaaS, and private SaaS environments.
• Background in defining or supporting custom-built applications (coding experience a plus).
• Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Alation, DBT, and Airflow.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment.
• Industry experience within complex, high-availability environments (e.g. transport, logistics, or aviation) highly regarded.
