Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia All Cast (NT) Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a critical precast package for a Tier 1 construction contractor. This is a contract role commencing immediately for a minimum of 5 months, with the potential for extension depending on project requirements. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with proven experience in managing complex construction projects under tight deadlines, coordinating limited resources effectively, and maintaining strong client relationships.

This role requires someone who can balance planning with on-the-ground execution, ensuring production, delivery, and installation targets are met without compromising on quality, safety, or compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the precast scope for a major construction project.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Tier 1 client, ensuring clear, professional communication and proactive issue resolution.
  • Manage production scheduling, resource allocation, and delivery logistics to meet strict project deadlines.
  • Coordinate across internal teams (production, dispatch, site supervisors, subcontractors) to align priorities and resolve constraints.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Drive accountability on site and in the yard to ensure safety, quality, and contractual obligations are met.
  • Identify and implement solutions quickly when faced with delays, resource shortages, or design/coordination challenges.
  • Foster strong working relationships with the client, subcontractors, and internal team members.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager (construction, precast, or related heavy manufacturing).
  • Proven track record delivering projects for Tier 1 or major contractors.
  • Strong ability to manage tight timelines, limited resources, and complex logistics.
  • Hands-on approach with willingness to be present on-site and in production environments.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to represent the business professionally.
  • Strong planning, reporting, and coordination abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS, quality, and compliance requirements in construction.

Desirable:

  • Previous precast or structural concrete experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience leading subcontractors and integrating their work into broader project delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

Contract Details
  • Start: Immediate
  • Duration: Minimum 5 months (potential extension)
  • Location: Darwin
  • Engagement Type: Contract (ABN or fixed-term agreement negotiable)
