Our Rosebery venue sits inside a rustic warehouse in the heart of Sydney - a buzzing, energetic space known for bold flavours, relaxed dining, and a team that really cares. We're proud of what we do, and we're looking for like-minded people to join the crew.

We're currently searching for a passionate, knowledgeable, and hardworking Assistant Restaurant Manager to become part of our Ducks family.

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you'll play a key role in leading and motivating our team to create memorable moments for our guests. You'll help maintain high standards across the venue, support the Restaurant Manager, and step up to lead when needed. This is a hands-on role within a group that genuinely values work–life balance, professional growth, and looking after our people.

About the Role:

Assistant Managers here do more than support their Managers — they help drive the culture, lead by example, and keep the venue running smoothly. If you're looking to grow your skills and develop within a respected hospitality group, this could be the perfect opportunity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, training, and supervising staff
  • Agreeing and managing budgets
  • Supporting with menu planning
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene, health, and safety legislation
  • Overseeing stock levels and ordering supplies
  • Handling customer enquiries and complaints

About You:

  • Substantial senior leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills, with a proven ability to develop high-performing teams
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering standout guest experiences
  • Community-minded and aligned with our Ducks values
  • Proven capability to control costs and drive revenue
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
