A central Financial Planning & Analytics team within a major government department is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to support a broad portfolio of public sector entities. This contract role is critical to the delivery of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis during a key reporting period.

The successful candidate will bring a strategic mindset, and experience in TM1, & Prime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing long-term budget submissions across multiple departments
  • Validating full-year forecasts for the current financial year
  • Assessing additional budget requests in TM1, ensuring alignment with business cases and accuracy across financial platforms
  • Delivering actionable insights and analysis to support executive decision-making
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet key financial deadlines
  • Reconciling and interpreting complex financial statements across multiple systems

Key Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in FP&A roles, ideally within government or large-scale portfolios
  • Strong background in financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and finance systems
  • Proficiency in SAP and TM1 is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Prime and IBM Analytics is required
  • Excellent analytical skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities
