Reporting to the Head of Faculty, the successful applicant will be an energetic and motivated staff member, keen to develop and deliver high-quality teaching programmes within our Senior School for students from Years 7–12, with a focus on Humanities.

We want all our staff to develop professionally in a collegial and high-performing culture, dedicated to supporting students to achieve academically, flourish as individuals, and become life-long learners.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Demonstrate appropriate tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education with classroom experience in Humanities subjects (such as History, Geography, and/or Social Sciences).
  • Show the ability to lead effective curriculum and pedagogical development specific to boys' education and in keeping with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (preferred).
  • Demonstrate success in employing engaging and inquiry-based strategies that inspire students in Years 7–12 to think critically about global, historical, and cultural contexts.
  • Work effectively within a team and build cooperative relationships with staff, students, and parents.
  • Display a willingness to support the spiritual, community, and cocurricular life of the School.
  • Hold current working rights for Australia.
  • Hold (or be eligible to obtain) registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
