The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is seeking an experienced
Salesforce Technical Lead
to join the Platform Engineering team supporting a major government digital transformation program.
This role requires hands-on Salesforce technical expertise combined with leadership capability to guide development teams in delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead for Salesforce delivery, providing guidance and oversight to developers and administrators.
- Design and review technical solutions across Salesforce clouds (PSS, Sales, Service, Experience) and custom applications.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical designs.
- Lead code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure quality across deliverables.
- Support the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and structured release management for Salesforce components.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with government security, privacy, and accessibility standards.
- Maintain clear technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.

Essential Criteria
- Extensive hands-on experience in Salesforce development and solution design, including Apex, Omnistudio, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and declarative tools.
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce security model, data architecture, and sharing rules.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage delivery in complex environments.
- Familiarity with version control and CI/CD practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working within a Platform Engineering or enterprise technology team.
- Familiarity with government digital service standards and compliance frameworks.
