About the Role

We're seeking a Trade Assistant & Truck Driver to support both workshop operations and material deliveries. This is a casual position (38 hours per week) with the view to transition into a full-time permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Workshop Support

  • Assist with the cutting, assembly, and fabrication of steel components.

  • Operate hand and power tools under supervision.

  • Work from basic technical drawings and instructions.

  • Help maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Truck Driving & Deliveries

  • Operate company vehicles for material and product deliveries (HC or MC Licence required).

  • Ensure all loads are secured and transported safely to client sites.

  • Complete vehicle pre-starts and maintain basic vehicle condition checks.

  • Adhere to road safety regulations and company transport procedures.

General Duties

  • Assist with general duties as required.

  • Support trades staff with preparation, movement, and clean-up of work.

  • Follow all company WHS policies and procedures.

About You

  • Valid HC or MC Licence (Heavy Combination or Multi Combination)

  • Forklift Licence (preferred)

  • Experience using workshop tools and fabrication equipment

  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
