Cuppa and a Connection – Be a Companion to a Friendly Local in Darlinghurst


An engaging older gentleman living in Darlinghurst is looking for a friendly volunteer to share some time, conversation, and connection. With a deep passion for history, a love of exploring different cuisines, and a curious mind, he enjoys meaningful chats and discovering the world through stories and shared experiences.

He would truly value a regular visitor—someone to talk with, perhaps share a coffee, and maybe even take a gentle stroll through the neighbourhood.

If you have an hour to spare each fortnight and enjoy good conversation, interesting stories, and connecting with someone who's led a rich and thoughtful life, this could be a beautiful way to make a real difference.


Located at Hyde Park end of Darlinghurst, so close by if you live, work or study in Paddington, Woolloomooloo, Potts Point, Rushcutters Bay, Surry Hills or in the City.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
