About the role:

We are on the search for a Production Estimating Team Leader to join us, forming an integral part of Rawson Group you will lead a team of Estimators using consistent workflow to manage and coordinate quality assurance & documentation of production activities. Your natural leadership skills are equipped to efficiently assess and assign jobs based on difficulty to the team, setting timeframes and monitoring KPI's to ensure all site start targets are made. You will manage roadblocks and aid the team to progress jobs, liaise with Senior Estimators to ensure quality assurance, investigate & report costing discrepancies to the Estimating Manager. You will be involved in pricing management, system maintenance and be the point of escalation for internal and external teams.

As the Team Leader you will facilitate and promote training and information sharing sessions on product or process improvement to reduce errors, conflicts & ETS' while fostering a great team working environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a Team of estimators to meet and exceed KPI's
  • Foster and promote information sharing, teamwork and high performance 
  • Assign and delegate tasks to estimators based on experience and skillset
  • Report on teams metrics, provide feedback and ensure targets are met
  • Facilitate training sessions including the maintenance of training materials 
  • Assist with QA on BOQ's & review/approve Overrun costs 
  • Support Systems & Maintenance team in ACC improvement processes 
  • Coordinate tenders for Spec Home programs & site visits

About You:

Qualifications:

Tertiary:

  • Degree or Certificate IV in Building & Construction Management
  • Understanding of the construction process and terminology
  • Working knowledge of the Building Code and regulations

Professional:

  • 3 years experience in a similar role 
  • Exposure to the Class 1 residential Construction sector (Highly desirable) 
  • Prior experience in leading and managing teams
  • Working knowledge of the Building Code and regulations
  • Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail
  • Experience with SAP, AAC, DataBuild & relevant Estimating software

Skills:

  • Project planning and management experience
  • Prior experience using Estimating software (i.e. Databuild, BuildSoft, Timberline PlanSwift or similar)
  • Microsoft Office Suite & SAP
  • Proven and strong experience with liaising with senior stakeholders of an organisation
  • Proven skills in defining, prioritising and organising competing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to analyse and resolve complex problems which may require the involvement of multiple parties
  • Ability to make sound evidence-based decisions under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
