TITLE: Storeman

REPORTING TO:    Supply Chain Co-ordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES: Your full-time position will encompass the logistical requirements of this food manufacturing business, its suppliers and customers. This job is on-site only, Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day.

The position is also responsible for;

  • Monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory
  • Receiving and dispatching stock
  • Locating inventory into suitable locations
  • Recording essential product information for HACCP
  • Ensuring suitable stock rotation based on FIFO principles
  • Picking orders as required
  • Labelling orders as required
  • Coordinating transport to ensure the most cost-effective delivery method is used
  • Coordinate transport to ensure orders are supplied on time
  • Ensuring an orderly, clean, safe and secure warehouse is maintained
  • Providing stock/materials to manufacturing as required or requested
  • Removal of finished product from manufacturing as required
  • Removal of production waste from the warehouse
  • Movement of CHEP pallets into and out of the company
  • Ensure the suitable operation and maintenance of the company's forklifts.
  • Must be capable of safely lifting up to 25kg

Further to this, you are required to;

  • Help out in production when available

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Inventory control, general computer/data entry skills.
  • Must be an experienced forklift driver with valid licence.
  • Exposure to Inventory Management software is looked upon favourably.
  • Good phone manner and excellent English skills necessary.
