About the role

We are now searching for an experienced Warehouse Storeman to join our distribution centre based at Hoxton Park, NSW. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, a Warehouse Storeman is responsible for accepting and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders of stock, packing and shipping orders ensuring efficiency to support the warehouse operations.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Participate in Blum's stocktaking process and perform relevant duties to assist, as needed.
  • Split orders and ensure correct packing protocols.
  • Process incoming stock.
  • Label pallets as required using designated computer workstation and label maker.
  • Accept delivery from truck. Unload incoming stock using electric materials handling equipment and place into correct unloading location as per company procedure.
  • Process and consolidate stock onto pallets as per requirements.
  • Pick stock from conveyor and place onto pallet ensuring correct packing protocols.
  • Consolidate stock onto pallets ready for distribution/shipping.
  • Operate electric materials handling equipment/forklift in the loading of the truck.
  • Comply with all OHS requirements and general housekeeping.

Your skills and experiences should include:

  • Proven working experience in a warehouse/distribution centre environment.
  • Solid reading skills - must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping systems.
  • Basic math skills and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 20kg and team lift between 20 and 30kg.
  • An ability to work from heights which includes ascending and descending ladders to rectify issues with the crane.
  • Certification of forklift equipment.
  • Ability to understand and execute instructions.
  • Problem solving and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems.
