We are seeking a passionate Work Placement Liaison to join our Early Childhood Education & Care team at our North Melbourne campus. This exciting role is perfect for an early childhood educator with a desire to transition into adult education while maintaining strong connections with the industry. The role involves travel across Melbourne to visit students on placement, ensuring they receive the support and guidance needed to excel.

The position is a part-time role based onsite in our North Melbourne campus, with travel around Melbourne as required.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Visit Early Childhood Education & Care students at their placement sites across Melbourne to provide support, guidance, and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with SCEI policies, regulatory standards, and placement requirements.
• Develop and manage placement plans to align with student training needs and industry expectations.
• Conduct assessments and provide feedback to students to support their professional development.
• Sign and verify student work placement booklets to document their progress and completion of placement requirements.
• Gather feedback from placement providers and students to evaluate placement experiences and identify areas for improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with childcare centres and industry partners to secure and support placement opportunities.
• Monitor student progress during placements, addressing any issues and ensuring a positive placement experience.
• Collaborate with the Early Childhood Education team to ensure seamless delivery of placement programs.
• Maintain accurate records of student placements, feedback, and booklet verifications, providing reports as required.
• Participate in professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Selection criteria:

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care or higher qualification.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (including LLN unit).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working in the Early Childhood Education & Care sector.
• Full driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for regular travel across Melbourne.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and industry partners.
• Ability to motivate and support students to succeed in their placements.
• Proactive, positive, and organised approach to managing placement programs.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
