About Us

Powering Skills Organisation is a Jobs and Skills Council for the Energy, Gas and Renewables sector funded by the Australian Government and managed by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.

We are one of ten Jobs & Skills Councils established to address skills shortages and training structures. At Powering Skills Organisation our focus is across the energy sector, focusing on electricity, renewables and gas.

We are on a journey to enhance the energy sector's skills and training landscape, creating lasting impact and meaningful change for the industry and the broader community.

About the role

In this role, you will engage with industry experts to uncover skills gaps, emerging technologies, and workforce challenges across the energy sector. You'll translate insights into practical recommendations that shape training products and workforce strategies, while building partnerships and collaborating with external stakeholders to drive impact. This role combines stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and system stewardship to strengthen workforce capability and deliver real outcomes for the industry.

About You

  • Qualifications and/or experience in Electrotechnology, Gas, Transmission/Distribution and Energy Generation training packages.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Strong presentation skills with experience communicating to industry peers and government stakeholders.
  • Technical knowledge of UEE, UET, UEP and/or UEG training packages.
  • Proven ability to lead and maintain effective networks and strategic relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
