We are seeking an Information Technology (I.T) Officer to join our team and provide vital first-level IT support across our organisation. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality health and community services within a supportive and values-driven environment.
About the Role
The I.T Officer will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to staff, assisting with troubleshooting, maintaining equipment, supporting IT systems administration, and contributing to the delivery of organisational projects. The role requires a proactive, hands-on individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to supporting the organisation's values and community focus.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide first-level IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
· Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
· Support IT systems administration, including user accounts, email systems, security groups, data backup, and cybersecurity procedures.
· Develop user guides, deliver basic IT training, and assist staff to build confidence in using technology.
· Work collaboratively with the team on IT projects, system upgrades, and procurement processes.
· Escalate complex issues as required while ensuring timely problem resolution.
· Uphold organisational values and support the delivery of health and wellbeing programs.
Selection Criteria
Applicants are required to address the following criteria in their application:
Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience in providing first-level IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
Proven ability to support IT systems administration, including user account management, email systems, security groups, data backup, recovery, and cybersecurity procedures in line with organisational policies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop user guides, deliver basic IT training, and maintain positive relationships with staff, community members, external service providers, and Aboriginal community-controlled organisations.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to IT projects, system upgrades, procurement processes, and problem resolution while escalating complex issues appropriately.
Commitment to organisational values, including professionalism, respect for equipment and property, a friendly and approachable manner, willingness to participate in community events, and support for health promotion and wellbeing programs.
