Sydney, New South Wales, Australia CAPRICORN Full time

A little about us

We're a Member-owned organisation with over 30,000 automotive and allied repair Members across Australia and New Zealand, ranging from national franchises to your local family workshop.

Since 1974 we've been supporting our Members with the solutions that really matter, centred around our flagship Trade Account which gives our Members access to instant credit with over 2,000 Preferred Suppliers, simplified monthly expenses, and a generous rewards program as the cherry on top.

Beyond that, our Members can also access a wide range of exclusive products each designed to support our Members to thrive. Whether they need equipment finance to grow their business, insurance products to protect what matters most, or an award-winning travel agency to book their next getaway, Capricorn can help.

Claims Officer – Make a Meaningful Impact

Are you passionate about delivering fair outcomes and supporting financial wellbeing?

Join our team and play a key role in assisting Members and non-Members with their claims journey. As an intermediary, Capricorn does not lodge claims directly—but we advocate for our Members and help ensure their claims are handled fairly, promptly, and in line with insurer guidelines.

What You'll Do

As a Claims Officer, you'll be instrumental in:

Liaising with insurers and stakeholders to support Members and non-Members through the claims process.

Advocating for fair outcomes and helping resolve issues or delays.

Ensuring claims are progressing in line with insurer Product Disclosure Statements (PDS) and internal procedures.

Supporting a customer-first approach while maintaining compliance and accuracy.

What You'll Bring

Exceptional verbal and written communication

Strong analytical thinking and confident negotiation abilities

A commitment to outstanding customer service

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Self-motivation and initiative to work independently

A service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach

Experience

Prior claims experience is a plus—but not essential. We value transferable skills and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

Tier 2 RG146 qualification is desirable, but not a deal-breaker

A little on life at Capricorn
