About the Opportunity

Teachers of tomorrow choose ECU's School of Education because we're leaders in teacher education and research. We're seeking a Lecturer/Researcher in Early Childhood Education to join our vibrant early years team. With over 5000 students and a proud history since 1902, ECU is consistently ranked among Australia's top education schools for student satisfaction. This role involves teaching and research focused on birth–5-year-olds, contributing to critical areas such as pedagogy, curriculum, and educational equity. About you

Our ideal candidate will:

Possess a PhD in a relevant discipline OR

Substantial progress towards a PhD and professional equivalency which would require demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the relevant discipline curriculum, national learning frameworks and the quality agenda with a research profile evidenced by publications (and demonstrated ability to teach at University level) AND

An established or emerging track record in quality research and outputs in Education (Field of Research code 39)

Expertise, experience, and a strong pedagogical approach to education in the Early Childhood discipline

Importantly, you will demonstrate personal attributes that align with the University's values.
