Site Manager

At Kip Melbourne South East , the Site Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the site. This role blends hands-on pet care with strategic leadership, people management, and business operations. You'll lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional pet care, ensure smooth day-to-day operations, an drive site growth and success. You'll enjoy access to support functions within our Head Office - we're here to help you succeed
The ideal candidate will be available to work hours between 7am-6pm on a Sunday-Thursday roster . Availability to work across all school holiday periods (including Christmas and Easter) is required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and inspire a high-performing team to provide best-in-class pet care.
Work in the day-to-day operations of the site - must love dogs
Manage site operations, including rostering, compliance, and facility upkeep.
Oversee customer service, ensuring positive experiences and efficient bookings.
Monitor and drive site financial performance, optimising bookings and profitability.
Maintain site cleanliness, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
Handle pet health concerns, incidents, and ensure clear communication with pet owners.
Manage social media engagement, showcasing the Kip experience.
Experience & Skills:
Previous paid animal care experience is highly regarded but not essential. If you have a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you
Passionate about pet care, with a hands-on approach and a customer-first mindset.
Must have previous experience leading a team of people.
Management of site based operations is highly regarded but not essential.
Excellent communication skills and proven experience providing exceptional customer service.
Passion for problem solving and high attention to detail.
Time management skills, a can-do attitude and initiative to exceed outcomes and expectations at high quality.
Quick learner and a willingness to get your hands dirty with on-the-job experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a cool head under pressure.
Competent with computer systems with intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
