Senior Vice President - Tax and Financial Reporting Senior Manager, Sydney
Join Citi as a Senior Vice President - Tax and Financial Reporting Senior Manager in Sydney.
The Fund Accounting Group Manager is a senior management position responsible for leading a team or department. The Tax and Financial Reporting (TXFR) team, part of the Fund Administration Operations within Issuer & Investor Services, handles the production of financial statements, tax, and regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities:
Manage tax and financial reporting operations at a site or functional level, including people managers, and collaborate across departments to develop cost-effective solutions that meet client expectations.
Assess new business opportunities against existing capabilities and provide recommendations.
Support employee career development through defined career paths, training, and professional development plans.
Evaluate risks and controls, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal controls.
Lead strategic planning, prioritize business development, and oversee execution.
Monitor Profit and Loss, expenses, budgeting, and planning.
Achieve departmental goals, handle complex issues, and manage resolution of business requests.
Participate in industry initiatives, support governance and ethical standards.
Assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and uphold ethical standards.
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience.
Chartered Accountant, CFA, or MBA qualification.
Experience in financial markets and fund accounting.
Proven experience in financial services, client and project management, strategic and operational management.
Strong people management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Advanced knowledge of accounting, financial services, and global markets.
Ability to manage client relationships effectively.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
