
Fund Implementation, Senior Analyst

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investment Implementation team at Mercer. This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
Provide analytical support for investment implementation activities, focusing on improving efficiency and reducing operational risk.
Assist the Head of Fund Implementation in executing portfolio management decisions, including asset allocation and investment manager changes.
Coordinate daily portfolio exposure management activities, including asset allocation rebalancing, liquidity forecasting, and monitoring of derivative overlays.
Collaborate with investment operations to maintain an accurate implementation pipeline and ensure best-practice execution of investment decisions.
Participate in the design and implementation of a new Target Operating Model (TOM) for the Pacific Delegated Solutions business, contributing to data infrastructure and analytics.
What you need to have:
A degree in an appropriate analytical discipline such as finance, economics, or mathematics; a postgraduate qualification (CFA, CIMA, or a relevant Master's) is desirable but not necessary.
5-7 years of investment industry experience, with a strong emphasis on derivatives and derivative overlay strategies.
Experience in portfolio construction for multi-manager portfolios, including the use of derivatives for risk management and performance enhancement.
A solid understanding of various portfolio construction approaches, including passive, active, factor, core, and high conviction.
Strong knowledge of investment markets and asset classes
