About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Security to lead our cyber security operations. This role requires a leader who can balance strategic direction with a willingness to be hands-on when critical situations arise. A key focus will be on building, scaling, and maturing Security Operations Centre (SOC) teams, while driving the delivery of security programs and fostering a strong security-aware culture across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, guide, and develop the Security Operations Team to ensure delivery of cyber security services.
Implement and continuously improve the Information Security Management Framework.
Scope, plan, and deliver complex security programs and initiatives.
Oversee and coordinate responses to audits, compliance checks, and incident triage.
Align organisational risk and compliance with policies, regulations, and frameworks, identifying and addressing gaps.
Drive awareness and ownership of security across the organisation.
Candidate Requirements
7+ years in cyber security leadership roles, engaging with executives and external stakeholders.
Proven experience managing, building, and scaling Security Operations Centre (SOC) teams.
Strong track record in developing and delivering security strategies, roadmaps, and programs.
Deep knowledge of security standards, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Degree in Computer Science or a related field, supported by relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer).
