Lawyer/Associate - Aged Care Law

Overview
An exciting opportunity exists for a Lawyer or Associate to join our Public Law and Regulatory Compliance team, with a focus on Aged Care Law. In this role, you'll work on a diverse range of matters involving regulatory compliance, litigation, administrative law, and statutory interpretation. The position also involves working in RK DocsConnect Pty Ltd.
The role offers a unique opportunity to undertake complex and stimulating work for aged care providers, peak bodies and providers of services to the aged care industry. You'll be part of a dynamic and collaborative team, working on meaningful matters with direct client contact.
We're looking for someone with a strong commercial mindset, sound technical skills, and a genuine interest in the aged care law. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years post admission experience
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Providing legal advice and representation to aged care providers, as well as the peak body and providers of services to the aged care industry.
Advice concerning regulatory compliance with the Commonwealth Aged Care Law scheme.
Representation in litigation matters including coronial inquests, VCAT proceedings and court proceedings.
Drafting regulatory compliance templates.
Involvement in the mentoring of both junior lawyers and law graduates, fostering their professional development and growth within our team.
Contributing to business development and marketing activities, including, but not limited to, attending networking events, presentations and writing articles.
Skills/Knowledge
Experience working in the health, aged care and / or disability law areas would be highly regarded, though not essential.
Sound legal analysis and drafting skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to explain legal concepts in a practical, client-friendly way.
Demonstrated initiative and a growing ability to think critically and contribute to problem-solving.
