We are seeking a commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a values-led organisation at a pivotal stage of growth and transformation.
As a key member of the executive team and reporting to the CEO, you will be a highly visible leader and will play a key role in enabling the business to meet growth targets. With the support of the existing executive team, you will be empowered to make changes and improve systems, processes, and team dynamics.
This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned finance leader who thrives in dynamic environments, can work in close-knit teams, and is looking to play a hands-on role in shaping the financial future of a growing, purpose-driven business.
What you will be doing Lead the financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation's goals.
Work with the existing team and external support to oversee financial reporting, tax, and compliance.
Drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Manage risk, ensure robust internal controls, and support compliance.
Optimise cash flow and working capital strategies.
Partner on potential M&A, investment, and growth opportunities.
Be a key advisor to the CEO and Board on financial and commercial matters.
Represent the organisation to a variety of external stakeholders.
Ensure the effective allocation of resources within the team and external support.

Who You Are You're a confident, commercially savvy CFO (or a 2IC ready for your next step) with experience in a small to mid-sized business. You bring:
Proven leadership experience across the full finance function.
Strong and demonstrable problem-solving ability; you are not fazed by changing priorities and strategic challenges.
A collaborative mindset and passion for improving business performance.
A track record of success in environments where adaptability and initiative are key.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
Salary package is negotiable dependent on experience.
This role is located in Melbourne CBD with flexible work arrangements available.
