HealthShare NSW provides support services to the NSW health system. Our services include food, linen, environmental (cleaning), non-emergency patient transport, ambulance cleaning and stocking, procurement, supply chain, the provision of assistive technology, and financial and employee transactions (payroll, purchasing, payments, recruitment).

Role Outline
The Director, Procurement Operations provides leadership, management and advice on the development and delivery of the NSW Health procurement and supply chain service to the NSW Health system. The role leads sourcing and contract management across the NSW Health system and manages the NSW Health supply chain; contributing to ensuring NSW Health optimises procurement value and delivers on organisational procurement strategies, priorities and objectives.
The primary purpose of the role is to lead and promote the implementation of best practice product sourcing, warehousing, supply chain logistics and distribution, and contract management on behalf of the NSW Health system. To be successful in this role you will need to show an advanced level of ability to deliver in each of these areas of responsibility, leveraging the capabilities for the role and your experience. Your track record of notable and ongoing achievement in leadership of a customer focused service in a complex service delivery environment, is key and will enable you to deliver excellent results in this role.
Success will also require a working knowledge and understanding of procurement and contract management best practice; as well as a practical ability to develop opportunities for enhancing organisational performance, competitiveness, business value and customer service. Integrity, collaboration, delivery of results, problem solving, optimising business outcomes and management of people are key role capabilities.
You will also be expected to have a proven ability to meet procurement standards, and maintain a safe and constructive workplace culture.
Ideally you will have a record of managing a geographically dispersed system of service delivery.

Describe the approach you took to establish effective governance to deliver a complex procurement initiative, include how you led for achievement, governed meeting standards and probity expectations and managed vendor and customer relationships and partnerships.
Essential Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
Appropriate senior executive level experience and tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience in a business or procurement related field.
Understanding of Government policies and practice in the key accountability areas including procurement, business reform and corporate services.
Sound knowledge of industry processes and practice associated with supply chain management, service agreements, contract management, contract law, probity and contract dispute resolution processes.
This is a Band 1, Health Service Senior Executive (HSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $267,296 to $292,242, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
