With 27 years of industry leadership , we're seeking a seasoned recruiter to take on a thriving permanent recruitment portfolio focused on general practitioners and family medicine doctors .
Why This Role?
You'll recruit doctors into roles that truly matter — often in communities that would otherwise go without essential healthcare. When you help place a GP in a rural town, an Aboriginal medical service, a telehealth platform, or a family clinic short on staff, you create a multiplier effect : improving the quality of life for entire populations, protecting public health, and supporting Australia's healthcare system where it's needed most.
You'll work with a diverse client base , including:
Private GP practices and family clinics
National corporate medical groups
Correctional health and Aboriginal health services
Specialised environments for family medicine-trained doctors
You'll also work with highly skilled doctors , many relocating from overseas, and have the backing of:
A dedicated associate recruiter to support your search and admin work
An in-house team of migration and regulatory specialists
A group of collaborative, experienced recruiters , many with 10–15+ years at Wavelength
Leadership and Mentorship
This role reports directly to Dr John Bethell , one of the co-founders of Wavelength and a highly experienced healthcare leader and recruiter . You'll have direct access to his guidance and insight, benefiting from decades of expertise in medical recruitment and health sector leadership. It's an exceptional opportunity to be mentored by someone who not only knows the industry inside out — but helped build it.
